It’s hard to imagine but children abducted into the sex trade industry is a harsh reality. Right now somewhere in South Asia, a young girl is being kidnapped from her family just to be transported to Cambodia where she will resign to a life of prostitution and sex slavery. Without any help or resources, she may never find a way out or see her family ever again.
“Be a voice and stop child sex slavery.” That is the motto that resonates among the One Body Village organization, a non-profit group, led by Father Martino Nguyen that aims to stop children sex trafficking in Cambodia. Since 2005, they have helped and rescued countless of young lives from a life of despair.
On March 10th, 2013 they held their fundraiser dinner at the Phu Lam Chinese Restaurant, in San Jose. Famous singers, supporters and volunteers helped made the event successful by raising large sums of cash and most importantly creating awareness.
