Ham Tran (Trần Hàm) is a Vietnamese American film writer/editor/director, of Hoa (Chinese Vietnamese) ancestry. He earned an MFA in film directing from the UCLA Film School and is most famous for his thesis film “The Anniversary”, which was shortlisted for an Academy Award for Live Action Short Film. His most recent effort is the full-length Vietnamese boat people and reeducation camp drama, “Journey from the Fall”, which was picked up in North America by ImaginAsian Pictures and released nationally on March 23, 2007.
Timothy Bui is a Vietnamese-born American filmmaker, film producer, and screenwriter. He directed Green Dragon, Powder Blue and co-wrote and produced Three Seasons.
Kathy Uyen is a Vietnamese-American actress. Uyen is perhaps best known for her role as “Julie” in the television series How I Met Your Mother or the Vietnamese feature film Passport to Love, for which she received a Golden Kite Award for Best Supporting Actress.[1] and Best Actress for movie How to Fight in Six Inch Heels
